Scripture

I wanted to share some scripture that has been sent to us by different people that have reached out to us in this difficult time.  I also shared a prayer I have taped to my monitor at work that I tend to say when I get stressed out.

Romans 8:26 -27
“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.  We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.  And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.”

 Philippians  4:6-7
“Do not be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

Psalm 31:24
Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for and hope for and expect the Lord!

Romans 8:25
But if we hope for what is still unseen by us, we wait for it with patience and composure”

Proverbs 13:12
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.

John 14:12-14
"I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.  You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.  Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and i will do it!"

Galatians 6:2
Share each other's burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.

Romans 4:17
As it is written "I have made you a father of many nations."  He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed - the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.

Romans 8:28
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Philippians 4: 4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Prayer
Dear Lord,
I am turning over all my fears and problems to You to handle today.  I can’t fix a single thing by worrying about it – but you can fix anything because nothing is impossible for You!  Thank You for my blessings, big and small.  Thank You for Your loving care for me.  Thank You for being in charge of my day.  In Jesus’ Name Amen

  1. Sabrina, Tim put this in his weekly thoughts and I thought I'd share.

God is stretching each one of us, and will do so as long as we are on this earth (Philippians 1:6)
